Gardelito
This is one of the many street-performers that populate the Recoleta quarter. This is Gardelito ( in honor of Carlos Gardel: see previous post here ) The Gardelito is somewhat considered as an icon of out city because he´s been doing it for so many years. He doesn´t sing, he´s just a look-alike and mimics as he would be actually singing. He´s very popular amongst photographers and you will find pictures of him in all the traditional fairs.

Does he sound better everyday, tambien?
Is he just mimicking the singing or also the guitar playing?
nicola: both, but you have to be carefull because he´s hell of an impersonator.. i had to look twice: he was faking both!
Tango: jajja i have to tell you, our folklore says that gardel gets better with time, like a good wine... so I have to say Yes!

I just got a plea from an BAexpat member about helping to save El Bar Britanico in San Telmo!
Apparently this historical bar is being ousted so it can be made into a "tourist" friendly environment $$$$.
